Submit an Article to Cascadia Knowledge Center

The Cascadia Knowledge Center publishes clear, evidence-based writing on critical thinking, analysis, decision-making, AI, and related issues. We are especially interested in pieces that make a substantive argument, introduce a useful framework, explain an important development, or draw practical lessons from research or professional experience. Articles should be written for an intelligent general audience and should avoid unnecessary jargon, academic formality, and promotional language.

Submissions should reflect the analytical standards Cascadia is committed to. Authors should distinguish evidence from judgment, identify important assumptions where relevant, acknowledge meaningful uncertainty, and consider plausible alternative explanations. Claims should be supported by reliable sources, with preference given to original research, government reports, datasets, and other primary materials when available. We welcome strong arguments, but not false certainty; good analysis should make clear both what the evidence supports and where reasonable questions remain.

Most Knowledge Center articles should be approximately 700–1,200 words and written in a clear, accessible style with descriptive headings and relatively short paragraphs. We welcome contributions from researchers, practitioners, educators, analysts, and other professionals whose experience can help readers think more effectively about difficult problems. Submissions should be original work, and the ideas, analysis, argument, and writing must be the author’s own rather than AI-generated. Use of AI for analytic assistance or copy editing is acceptable.
