Connect the Skills
Build Shared Practices
More time allows participants to understand a method, practice it, receive feedback, and apply it again in a more complex setting.
Participants can move from structuring a problem to evaluating evidence, challenging assumptions, and making a final judgment.
Extended sessions give participants time to practice the same methods and language together.
Build skills beyond initial exposure
See how different thinking tools work together
Create a common approach across the team
Intensive Training for Deeper Skill Development
Cascadia Capability Intensives give teams the time to develop, connect, and apply multiple thinking and analytical skills in a single extended program. Over approximately five hours, participants move beyond individual concepts to practice how evidence, reasoning, judgment, and decision-making work together.
Capability Intensive Focus Areas
Critical Thinking & Judgement
Structured Analysis
Decision Making Under Uncertainty
Build a stronger foundation for evaluating information, challenging assumptions, recognizing weak reasoning, and reaching defensible judgments.
Possible topics:
Evidence evaluation, assumptions, cognitive bias, causal reasoning, competing explanations, confidence, and judgment under uncertainty.
Develop a repeatable process for moving from an ambiguous question to a structured, evidence-based conclusion.
Possible topics:
Problem decomposition, analytic frameworks, hypothesis generation, evidence-to-claim matching, estimation, scenario analysis, and alternative analysis.
Help teams turn analysis into decisions when information is incomplete, risks are uncertain, and tradeoffs matter.
Possible topics:
Decision criteria, probabilistic reasoning, forecasting, uncertainty, tradeoffs, scenario planning, and communicating confidence.
